A light-gauge steel building system, quick to erect. It produces metal buildings that are light in weight, quick to erect, easy to install and of excellent quality. It is a complete system, from architectural and structural design through to erection following the programme held at the place of fabrication. It is among the fastest and easiest good-quality building systems for residential and government buildings, offices and warehouses. The building frame can be made in the factory or on site. The sections are cold-rolled from galvanised sheet 0.9 mm thick. Buildings of 8 storeys have been built in America and Europe using this system, the first of them in Seattle, America in 1999. Buildings of 5 and 6 storeys have been erected in many places around the world over the past twenty years. In engineering terms there is no limit to the number of storeys that can be built this way. Light-gauge steel structures need reinforced concrete foundations and floors amounting to 30% of what a reinforced concrete structure needs.
