Privacy Policy

Khan Al-Handasah is a directory of engineers, companies, offices and suppliers. This page says what we keep about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we keep when you create an account

• Your name, your email address and your preferred language.

• Your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled form we cannot read back.

• If you choose Continue with Google, we receive from Google only your name, your email address and an identifier Google gives your account. We use them only to sign you in. We do not receive your Google password, your contacts, your files or anything else.

What we keep while you use the site

• The ratings you give and the items you save, so you can see and change them.

• Records of sign-ins and security events (time, approximate network address, browser type), so we can protect your account and investigate misuse.

• Page visits are counted without identifying you: no tracking cookie, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

What a provider publishes is public by design

A provider's page, its services, products and projects, and the contact details it chooses to publish are shown to everyone, because that is the purpose of the directory.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: keeping you signed in, remembering a browser you have confirmed, your light or dark choice, your language, and, for a few minutes during a Google sign-in, a temporary security cookie. No advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can see and end your signed-in sessions, and disconnect Google from your account.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site.
